The delusion of believing that the software will save us

This morning the business psychologist Grace Walsh posted a quotation from Anthony Hilton - Financial Journalist and Commentator that resonated with my experiences of the past couple of weeks.

‘It doesn’t matter how sophisticated your risk systems are, they’re all useless if people don’t behave as the computer model has forecast them to…..’

As Grace said, it again reiterates the problem with risk management strategies which focus primarily and solely on processes and excludes people issues.

As we all know people more often don't behave as we think they should.  Putting people into risk management is getting urgent!
